Welcome to the Gawler Bowling Club’s Website.
Gawler is located about 45 kilometres North of Adelaide, South Australia, and is the gateway to the Barossa Valley, the home of world-class vineyards, wineries and wines.
The Gawler Bowling Club competes in Ladies and Men’s Pennant Bowls in the Adelaide Metropolitan Competition. The Club was established in 1907 and has a rich and proud heritage. Although Gawler is one of South Australia’s oldest Country Towns it now has a rapidly expanding population with new land developments opening up on all four sides. The Gawler Bowling Club currently has approximately 220 members, both ladies and men, with a majority of these having Full Membership. Continual Social Bowls, C.A.L. Bowls (Come and Learn) and Night Owls encourage novices to participate in Lawn Bowls and many have gone on to become Full Pennant playing members.
With three Carpet greens, new Light Towers, new Security perimeter fence and extensive artificial grass surrounds, Gawler can certainly boast some of the best facilities in the State. The Gawler Bowling Club is known for its hospitality and welcomes any visiting members from other clubs, whether it be from Australia or Overseas, to pop in and have a roll on our greens.
